Collaboration of Many Countries, FTP Unud Holds Joint Conference Titled 5th ICBME and 2nd ICIAT

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, has once again strengthened its position towards internationalization by holding a joint conference entitled 5th International Conference on Biosciences and Medical Engineering (ICBME) and 2nd International Conference on Innovative Agricultural Technology (ICIAT) 2023 on 30-31 August 2023 at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Ungasan Bali, which is a series of the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University and the 39th FTP Anniversary and the 29th FTP Family Body (BK) held by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and collaborate with University Technology Malaysia (UTM) also involved several countries including Japan, India, Thailand, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, the Philippines, Nepal, Taiwan, Australia and Saudi Arabia

 

The Joint conference activity was opened by the Rector of Udayana University, represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D. The excitement of the joint conference that was held increased even more with the presence of the keynote speaker, namely Dr. Gyorgy Szekely from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia and Prof. Sakae Shibusawa, a Professor Emeritus of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. Participants in this activity reached 150 presenters with various topics including Biocscience, Biomedical Engineering, Bionanotechnology, to various topics on Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Industrial Technology and Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, who is often called Prof. Anom said that the purpose of holding this activity was of course to carry out international collaboration and the realization of cooperation between the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and various universities at the international level and of course also to strengthen the position of FTP Unud towards internationalization.

 

"I hope that this joint conference can strengthen the position of FTP Unud at the international level and increase the potential and opportunities for international cooperation to improve the quality of FTP Unud," he said
