Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University Holds Vision and Mission Review Workshop

Jimbaran, July 3, 2026 – The Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP), Udayana University, organized the Vision and Mission Review Workshop at Building JA 1.1, Jimbaran Campus. The workshop was conducted as part of the Faculty's continuous effort to evaluate and refine its strategic direction in response to the evolving landscape of higher education, scientific advancement, technological innovation, and industry demands.

The workshop was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Dr. I Wayan Rai Widarta, S.TP., M.TP., who emphasized the importance of periodically reviewing the Faculty's vision and mission to ensure that its strategic goals remain relevant, adaptive, and aligned with the University's commitment to academic excellence.

The event continued with presentations moderated by Gede Arda, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D., featuring distinguished speakers from both academia and industry who shared valuable insights into the future direction of the Faculty.

The first speaker, I Putu Restu Wiana, S.TP. from PT Rajaboga Jaya Nusantara, delivered a presentation entitled "Industry Needs for Human Resource Competencies in Curriculum Development." He highlighted the importance of aligning higher education curricula with current and future industry requirements to produce graduates equipped with relevant competencies, technological adaptability, and strong competitiveness in the global workforce.

The second presentation was delivered by Prof. Ir. I Made Supartha Utama, M.S., Ph.D., who discussed "Reviewing the Vision and Mission of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology." His presentation emphasized that a well-defined vision and mission serve as the foundation for strategic planning, institutional development, and the implementation of the University's commitments to education, research, and community engagement.

The workshop brought together faculty leaders, academic staff, administrative personnel, alumni, and external stakeholders, providing an interactive platform for exchanging ideas and formulating strategic recommendations for refining the Faculty's vision, mission, and long-term development plan. The collaborative discussions reflected the Faculty's commitment to involving multiple stakeholders in shaping its future direction.

Through this workshop, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, aims to develop a vision and mission that are responsive to scientific progress, industrial transformation, and global challenges. The updated strategic direction is expected to strengthen the Faculty's role in producing graduates who are competent, innovative, professional, and globally competitive while enhancing the quality of education, research, community service, and institutional partnerships.
