FTP Universitas Udayana and DPMD Badung Regency Strengthen Synergy for Developing Appropriate Technology Based on Local Potential

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, in collaboration with the Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) of Badung Regency, organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled “Mapping and Development of Appropriate Technology Based on Local Potential in Badung Regency” on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The event was held at the Hita Gosana Meeting Room, DPMD Badung Regency.

The FGD was conducted as part of a collaborative effort between academia and local government to identify and develop local potentials through the implementation of appropriate technologies that support sustainable and competitive community development.

The event was officially opened by the Head of DPMD Badung Regency, Komang Budhi Argawa, S.H., M.Si., who emphasized the importance of synergy among government institutions, academics, and local communities in fostering innovation based on local needs. Such collaboration is expected to optimize the utilization of village resources and contribute to improving community welfare across Badung Regency.

The discussion session featured a presentation by Dr. Ir. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb., IPU., ASEAN Eng., who delivered insights on regional potential mapping and strategies for developing appropriate technologies tailored to local characteristics and community needs.

Through discussions involving various stakeholders, the FGD aimed to formulate strategic recommendations that can serve as a foundation for future programs focused on local potential-based appropriate technology development. These recommendations are expected to support the creation of innovative, self-reliant, and sustainable communities in Badung Regency.
