Industrial Agricultural Technology Students of Universitas Udayana Win Overall Second Place and Gold Medal at the 2026 Jogja Essay Competition

Jimbaran – Students from the Industrial Agricultural Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Udayana, have once again achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning Overall Second Place and the Gold Medal in the Agriculture Subtheme at the 2026 Jogja Essay Competition (JEC) organized by Universitas Gadjah Mada.

The award-winning team consisted of I Gd Verdi Chandra Abrianta (Class of 2024), Ruben Hugo Sagita (Class of 2025), I Kadek Leo Dwipayana (Class of 2024), Kadek Arlyatha Anantha (Class of 2025), and Merti Ilona Manullang (Class of 2024). Throughout the competition, the team was supervised by Frida Maslikhah, S.TP., M.T.

The Jogja Essay Competition is a national scientific writing competition that brings together university students from across Indonesia to present innovative ideas and solutions through academic essays. The competition encourages participants to develop creative and impactful solutions to strategic issues, particularly in the agricultural sector.

Winning both Overall Second Place and the Gold Medal in the Agriculture Subtheme demonstrates the students' ability to produce innovative, practical, and relevant ideas that address current agricultural challenges. This achievement also reflects the strong academic environment and continuous mentorship fostered by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Udayana.
