Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems Udayana Appointed to Be a Resource Person at the BAPPENAS RI Event
Lecturer in the
Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural
Technology, Udayana University, Dr. Sumiyati, S.TP., M.P. trusted to be a
resource person together with lecturers from several other state universities,
namely Jenderal Soedirman University, Padjadjaran University, and Gadjah Mada
University, in Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities in the context of
implementing non-rice irrigation services organized by the National Development
Planning Agency (Bappenas) of the Republic Indonesia which will be held in a
hybrid manner on Tuesday, 31st October 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel
Yogyakarta.
The FGD activity was
attended and opened directly by the Bappenas Water Resources Utilization
Coordinator, Mr. Ir. Juari, ME. This activity was carried out as one of the
steps to implement the mandate of Law no. 17 of 2019 concerning Water
Resources. The FGD was also attended and attended by 3 Directors and 11 Heads
of River Region Centers from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.
"I am very happy to
be part of the FGD carried out by BAPPENAS RI. Hopefully, with the FGD, input
will be obtained in preparing implementing regulations for the implementation
of non-rice irrigation services so that they can run as expected," said
Dr. Sumiyati as resource person.
