Towards Internationalization, FTP Unud Collaborates with International Organizations to Hold ISMAB 2024

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology of Udayana University in collaboration with Perteta Indonesia, JSAM, KSAM, ACABE and ISAE held “The 11 th International Symposium on Machinery and Mechatronics for Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering” on 27-29 September 2024 at The Patra Resort and Villa Bali Indonesia.

 

This activity was attended by 350 participants from abroad such as Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and was opened by the Rector of Udayana University represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya with the chairman of the 11th ISMAB 2024 Prof. Takashi Okayasu, President of JSAM Prof.Michinisa Iida, President of KSAM Prof. Hyuck Joo Kim, Special Envoy of CIAM Dr.Ching Lu Hsieh, and Representative of ISAE and ACABE Dr.Desrial.

 

This activity consists of international seminars, parallel sessions, poster presentations, gala dinners and field trips to Jati Luwih and Jungle Gold Bali. Keynote speakers at the international seminar were Professor Michinisa Lida (President of JSAM) who presented the topic “Current Status and Future of Smart Agriculture in Japan”, Professor Hyuck Joo Kim (President of KSAM) who presented the topic “‘Trends of Smart Agriculture Policy and Transition to Digital Agriculture in South Korea’, Dr. Ching-Lu Hsieh (Special Envoy of CIAM) who presented the topic 'Introduction of Agricultural Mechanization, Automization, and Intelligentization in Taiwan: Current Status and Recent Developments' and Associate Professor Desrial (Representative of ISAE and ACABE) who presented the topic 'Challenges to Indonesian Agricultural Development'.

 

The activity went very well, at the gala dinner the best presentation was chosen for oral presenters and poster presenters. Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Anom Sutrisna Wijaya said that this activity was one form of seriousness of FTP Udayana towards internationalization, he also said that he would continue to seek and open opportunities for international cooperation between FTP Unud and the World University in order to improve the quality of the FTP Unud academic community, he said.
