Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems Unud Strengthens Collaboration in Subak Irrigation Management

Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University through the Natural Resources and Environmental Management Laboratory which was attended by Mrs. Dr. Sumiyati, S.TP., M.P. Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Mrs. Ni Nyoman Sulastri, S.TP., M.Agr., Ph.D., UP2M Coordinator, Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Mr. Ir. I Wayan Tika, M.P. Lecturers in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, together with the Subak Unit, Udayana University, on Tuesday, December 12 2023, received a visit from the Team for the Study Center for Agricultural Irrigation Modernization (PKMIP), Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Gadjah Mada University

 

PKMIP Team, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Gadjah Mada University, represented by Prof. Sigit Supadmo Arif and Dr. Hangar Ganara Mawandha made a visit to explore cooperation by conducting a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with farmers and irrigation officers to address the impact of climate change currently occurring on Subak irrigation management. FGD activities were carried out in the Yeh Sungi River Watershed (DAS), specifically in the Tungkub Irrigation Area.

 

This activity went smoothly, Mrs. Dr. Sumiyati, S.TP., M.P. It is hoped that through this activity in the future it is hoped that collaboration will be created between Udayana University and Gadjah Mada University through the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Subak Unit of Udayana University in terms of collaborative research and community service related to Subak irrigation management, so that in the future it is hoped that it can help maintain and develop Subak in the Bali area, she said.
