Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Invites Field Practicum Students to PT. Bali Extract Utama

Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University has carried out field practicums at PT. Bali Extract Utama (PT. BEU) on 15^th May 2023. This field practicum activity is one of the practicum activities in the Process Engineering course. The field practicum activities were accompanied by Mrs. Dr. Ir. Luh Putu Wrasiati, M.P. as a lecturer who was immediately accepted by the Operations Manager of PT. Bali Extract Main Mr. Aman Selamat, S.T and facilitated by Mrs. Ni Nyoman Desi Trisnadewi, S.TP., M.Si. and Putu Pande Yashika, S.TP.

 

The Field Practicum for the Process Engineering course aims to enable students to learn about the operation of the tools used in the extraction and distillation processes, the differences in extraction by maceration, percolation and distillation methods, and the differences in drying and ordinary evaporation and vacuum evaporation processes.

 

Mrs. Ir. Luh Putu Wrasiati, M.P. As the lecturer for the course and the lecturer who accompanies the field practicum, it is hoped that from this activity students can learn and directly see the extraction process and the tools used in carrying out the extraction process on an industrial scale. In addition, in this activity students are also directed to make reports and present these reports as a form of learning output from the Field Practicum so that students are expected to be able to understand and be able to properly present the subject matter studied during the Field Practicum, he said.
