WIDE Training: Strengthening Female Students' Digital and Entrepreneurship Competencies, Proof of Consistent International Collaboration between FTP Unud and Sookmyung Women's University

Bukit Jimbaran, July 28, 2025 – A total of 40 female students from Udayana University, representing various faculties such as the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Business, and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, successfully participated in the WIDE (Women in Digital and Entrepreneurship) Training Program. This program is a collaborative initiative between Sookmyung Women’s University, specifically the Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC), and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, with support from UNESCO UNITWIN and the Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea. Conducted online from July 16 to 28, 2025, the program aimed to strengthen the digital and entrepreneurial competencies of young women in the era of the digital economy.

The opening ceremony, held virtually on July 16, 2025, was attended by Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, who delivered the opening remarks representing Udayana University as the Indonesian delegate. The event was also attended by representatives from several other countries, including South Korea, Cambodia, and Vietnam, reflecting the program’s international scope.

The training consisted of two main tracks: Entrepreneurship Class and Digital Class.

  • In the Entrepreneurship Class, participants were trained to develop creative business ideas leveraging digital applications, with a strong focus on unique value propositions and competitive advantages that are difficult to replicate.

  • In the Digital Class, participants learned Python programming skills to create technology solutions aligned with market demands.

All sessions were delivered through Zoom and Google Classroom, combining pre-lectures, live sessions, and team projects in a well-integrated learning flow. This structure allowed participants to strengthen their theoretical knowledge while honing practical skills.

At the end of the program, the best-performing groups from each class were selected to receive the opportunity to join a workshop at Sookmyung Women’s University, South Korea.

  • Digital Class Winners: Gusti Ayu Dita Cahaya Ningsih, Vanessa Sitohang, Luh Pramitha Widyajanati (Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering), and Azra Aaliyah Seisha Sybille (Informatics Engineering).

  • Entrepreneurship Class Winners: Ida Ayu Tisna Wahyuniari, Made Dita Dewi Devani, Artika Ria Utami (Food Technology), and Bellyna Putri Annisa Rahmadhani (Pharmacy).

Through this program, it is expected that participants will not only acquire strong technical and business skills but also the confidence to contribute in the professional field and excel as competitive digital entrepreneurs on both national and international stages.
