Calling From Our Hearts to Serve, BEM FTP Unud Conducts Student Social Scientific Service in Manukaya Village, Tampaksiring, Gianyar
The Student Executive
Board of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (BEM FTP
Unud) has implemented a Student Social Service Program (BISMA) at Wantilan
Tribhuwana, Banjar Tatag, Manukaya Village, Tampaksiring District, Gianyar
Regency. This activity was held on Sunday 18th June 2023 which was attended and opened by the
Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna
Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D. along with his staff, as well as attending the Head of
the Tampaksiring Subdistrict Head, Mr. I Dewa Gde Pariyatna, S.STP., Manukaya
Village Worker, Villagers and all Lecturers and Students in the Faculty of
Agricultural Technology.
BISMA is a work program
of BEM FTP Unud in the field of community service in collaboration with FTP
Unud Lecturers. In the activities carried out, training was given from
participants, namely the youngest batch of students who took part in BISMA
activities. The selected group is the group with the best project idea. This
year, the group of students who had the opportunity to provide input to the
people of Manukaya Village in order to optimize and innovate the potential that
existed in Manukaya Village consisted of 3 groups. The student group from the Agroindustrial
Technology Study Program under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Lutfi Suhendra, M.P.
providing training related to Citrus Aromatherapy Candle Product Training,
Student Groups from the Food Technology Study Program under the guidance of Mr.
I Gede Arie Mahendra Putra, S.TP., M.TP. providing training related to
innovation in processing Cardamom products into Cardamom Ice Cream and Student
Groups of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program under the
guidance of Mr. Dr. I Putu Surya Wirawan, STP., M.Si. provide training related
to the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer. Apart from that, mutual
cooperation activities were also carried out by participants around the
Manukaya Village area, announcements of 2023 BISMA participant appreciation,
and closing of activities.
Dean of the Faculty of
Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc.,
Ph.D. appreciated the activities carried out by the students, he hoped that
community service activities which are the Tri Dharma of Higher Education could
still be carried out, he also hoped that the activities carried out could have
a positive impact on the people of Manukaya Village, he said.
