Collaboration with Australian Catholic University, FTP Unud and KUI Organize Balinese Traditional Cuisine Gastronomy Class 2023

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) together with the Office of International Affairs of Udayana University in collaboration with the Australian Catholic University held a Balinese Traditional Cuisine Gastronomy Class 2023 on Tuesday & Wednesday, 31st  January – 1st  February 2023 which was held at the 3rd  Floor Agrocomplex Building, Udayana University.

 

This activity was attended by the Head of the Office of International Affairs at Udayana University Mrs. Dr. Eng Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, S.T., M.T., M.Eng., IPM., Coordinator of UP2M FTP, Ms. Ni Nyoman Sulastri, S.TP., M.Agr., Ph.D., Coordinator of UPIKS FTP, Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S,TP., M.Agb., Speakers who are Lecturers in the Food Technology Study Program, FTP Udayana University, namely Mrs. Ni Made Indri Hapsari Arihantana, S.TP., M.P., and I Desak Putu Kartika Pratiwi, S. TP., M.P., as well as several FTP Unud lecturers who became a team in this activity, namely Mrs. Dr. Ir. Luh Putu Wrasiati, M.P. as a coordinator team, I Gede Arie Mahendra Putra, S.TP., M.TP., and Putu Julyantika Nica Dewi, S.TP., M.TP. as well as Lecturer representatives from the Australian Catholic University, namely Dr. Sharon Croxford and students.

 

The activities carried out were the provision of material related to Balinese Traditional Food such as base genep gastronomy, rengginang and jaja uli as well as the practice of making Rengginang, Jaja Uli, Jukut Urab, Sisit Chicken and Sate Lilit as well as the practice of serving traditional Balinese food. This activity was attended by lecturers and students from the Australian Catholic University.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., said that this activity was one of the international collaboration activities of FTP Unud and hoped that in the future other international collaborations and cooperation agreements could be established between FTP Unud and Australian Catholic University in other fields such as research and community service, apart from that he also emphasized that the Faculty of Agricultural Technology can also facilitate traditional cuisine cooking classes and discussions related to traditional Balinese menus, ingredients used, and the ingredients contained in the ingredients and products used. produced which is carried out in accordance with the principles of food technology science, he said.
