Providing Off-Campus Experience, FTP Unud Master of Food Technology Students Conducted Industrial Visits

Students of the Master of Food Technology Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University have carried out industrial visits to improve their abilities by comparing the knowledge gained on campus and the practices carried out in the industrial world. Students who took Nutraseutical and Flavor Technology courses had the opportunity to visit PT. Karsa Abadi (Made Tea) on Sunday, April 28, 2024. This activity was accompanied by the lecturer of the course, Mrs. Dr. Ir. Luh Putu Wrasiati, M.P.

 

In this activity, students get a detailed explanation from the Owner of PT Karsa Abadi Bali, namely Mrs. Ni Made Roni, about herbal drinks with the Made Tea brand which are directly produced by PT Karsa Abadi starting from the process of receiving raw materials, the blansir process, drying, formulation, packaging to labeling. In addition, students also get an explanation of the production lines and processes as well as the application of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) in producing herbal drinks.

 

As the lecturer, Dr. Ir. Luh Putu Wrasiati, M.P. reported that the activity went smoothly and all students were very enthusiastic about participating in this industrial visit. She hoped that through this activity students will understand more about the practices of Flavor and Nutraceutical technology in the industry which of course have been adapted to the production process of these products with the application of HACCP-based food safety.
