Strengthening Cooperation with South Korea, Faculty of Agricultural Technology Conducts Semester Based Courses with Sookmyung Womens University
The Faculty of Agricultural Technology has carried out international cooperation with Sookmyung Womens University, South Korea starting from September - December 2024. This activity is a collaborative activity with UNESCO UNITWIN Asia Pacific Womens Information Network Center at Sookmyung Woman University South Korea supported by Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea in implementing Semester Based Course related to Womens Empowerment Through Digital Skills And Leadership Education.
This activity was attended by 32 students consisting of students from the Study Program of Food Technology, the Study Program of Agroindustrial Technology and the Study Program of Agricultural And Biosystem Engineering. Semester Based Courses activities provide opportunities for 32 students to take part in international classes from the Sookmyung Womens University teaching team, South Korea such as the Innovation and Digital Transformation class by Prof. Jung In Jo and the Women and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Transformation class by Prof. Soo Jin Han.
Semester Based Courses are held in a hybrid program and closed with offline classes held on December 20th -22nd , 2024 by directly presenting lecturers from South Korea, namely Prof. Jung In Jo, Prof. Soo Jin Han, and a team from the Asia Pacific Womens Information Network Center at Sookmyung Woman University South Korea namely Ms. Jiye Kang and Ms. Sukyung Kim.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Anom Sutrisna Wijaya said that activities like this are expected to strengthen the international cooperation of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, besides that this activity is also expected to provide opportunities for the students to be able to improve their abilities, especially in the field of digital transformation and entrepreneurship.
“This activity must continue to be carried out in the future, hopefully it can continue to establish cooperation with Sookmyung Womens University, not only in the field of education, but in the field of research and community service,” he said.
