The Apurva Kempinski Bali Signs Collaboration with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University

 

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) has signed a Cooperation Agreement with The Apurva Kempinski Bali regarding the opportunity for students to do MBKM internships. The Cooperation Agreement was signed starting March 1st  2023 which will be valid until March 1st  2026. This Cooperation Agreement was signed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., and Mr. M. Harrison Tompodung Director of Training and Quality Management The Apurva Kempinski Bali who was accompanied by the Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit (UPIKs) FTP Unud Mrs. Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb.

 

The collaboration that was carried out was immediately realized by providing opportunities for FTP Unud students to do MBKM internships. Students who do the MBKM internship will be given the opportunity to do an internship for 4-6 months to directly experience the world of work and have the opportunity to study directly at The Apurva Kempinski Bali. On this occasion, apprentice students will learn about the hygiene system and program sustainability. Hygiene is one of the subjects studied at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology. Students who do internships are also equipped with knowledge related to Hygiene which is packaged in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO, namely ISO 22000 concerning food safety, ISO 140001 regarding environmental management systems and ISO 9001 regarding quality management systems that have been studied at lectures so that later during the internship students can apply the knowledge gained in lectures and learn directly in the Hospitality Industry. In addition, the application of Hygiene in the hospitality industry is not only limited to food products, but extends to room sanitation, toilets to employee hygiene, where this is closely related to the learning that can be obtained at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D. said that the Cooperation agreement implemented was one of the positive things that must always be improved in order to provide opportunities for students to carry out activities outside the campus and experience the world of work. such as research or community service, he said.
