Unud FTP Lecturer Team Gives Technical Training on Production and Standardization of Processed Seaweed Products in Kutuh Village, Badung
The Faculty of
Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) provided technical
training in the production and standardization of processed seaweed products in
Kutuh Village, South Kuta District, Badung. This activity is the realization of
cooperation between the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Department
of Industry and Manpower of Badung Regency. Previously, the Production
Technical Training and or Product Standardization had also been carried out in
Sading Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, which was attended by the
Amerta Jaya IKM Group, Sading.
This time, the Technical
Training on Production and Standardization of Processed Seaweed Products in
Kutuh Village was held on July 22nd , 2022, which was attended by
KWT Mekar Sari and Merta Nadi. In this activity, the lecturer of the Faculty of
Agricultural Technology, namely Mrs. Ni Made Indri Hapsari Arihantana, S.TP.,
MP., Mr. Cokorda Anom Bayu Sadyasmara, S.TP., M.Sc. and Mr. Ir. I Gusti Ketut
Arya Arthawan, M.Fd.Eng. as resource persons for activities. The training
materials provided are production techniques, knowledge of materials, knowledge
of tools, knowledge of production processes and technology, production process
practices, product standardization which includes policies on standardization
in Indonesia, functions and benefits of product standardization, types of
product standardization, requirements for each product standardization and the
process or mechanism for submitting product standardization that focuses on the
seaweed commodity which is the main commodity of Kutuh Village, South Kuta
District, Badung.
Mrs. Ni Made Indri
Hapsari Arihantana, S.TP., MP. as a representative of the resource persons
reported that the purpose of the activities carried out was to provide
knowledge and abilities and skills of KWT members in carrying out the
production process according to the procedures that had been informed and
expected to understand the requirements of applicable product standards. Shee
also added that the target of this activity is the training participants are
expected to have good and correct production skills so they can produce quality
products, especially the processing of seaweed commodities which are the
flagship commodity of Kutuh Village.
