Strengthening Academic Collaboration, Universitas Udayana Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Universitas Tadulako Graduate School Sign Cooperation Agreement on the Implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education
Denpasar, June 11, 2026 – The Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP), Udayana University, and the Graduate School of Tadulako University (UNTAD) officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the Implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The signing ceremony, held at the Graduate School Building of Udayana University in Denpasar, marks a strategic step toward strengthening inter-university collaboration, particularly in the development of graduate education, human resource capacity building, and the enhancement of research and scientific publications in agriculture and agricultural technology.
The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, Dr. I Wayan Rai Widarta, S.TP., M.Si., and the Director of the Graduate School, Tadulako University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Sutapa, M.Eng. The event was also attended by the Head of the Master’s Program in Food Technology at Udayana University, Dr. Ir. Komang Ayu Nocianitri, M.Agr.Sc., and the Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Agricultural Science at Tadulako University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rostiati dg Rahmatu, M.P.

The cooperation agreement reflects the commitment of both institutions to optimize their respective resources in supporting the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education, namely education, research, and community service. Furthermore, the partnership is expected to strengthen graduate education programs, improve academic outcomes, expand collaborative networks, and enhance the competitiveness of human resources at both national and international levels.
The scope of the collaboration includes the organization of academic activities such as seminars, public lectures, training programs, workshops, scientific conferences, academic competitions, and professional development programs for students and lecturers. Both institutions have also agreed to strengthen collaboration in joint research and scientific publications involving faculty members and students, particularly in the fields of Food Technology, Agricultural Industrial Technology, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Science, and other related disciplines.
In addition to education and research activities, the agreement covers collaborative community service programs through the application of science and technology, training, educational outreach, community empowerment initiatives, and the development of innovations based on agricultural technology. These collaborative efforts are expected to contribute significantly to sustainable agricultural development and community welfare improvement.
Through this partnership, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, and the Graduate School of Tadulako University will also create broader opportunities for knowledge exchange, faculty engagement as guest lecturers and experts, collaborative research projects, academic supervision, and institutional networking aimed at enhancing the quality of higher education.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, Dr. I Wayan Rai Widarta, S.TP., M.Si., stated that the agreement represents FTP Udayana University's commitment to expanding academic networks and strengthening collaboration with higher education institutions across Indonesia. Through this partnership, both institutions are expected to develop programs that improve educational quality, increase research productivity, and enhance the contribution of universities in addressing future challenges in agriculture and food systems.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Graduate School, Tadulako University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Sutapa, M.Eng., welcomed the collaboration as an important platform for strengthening academic partnerships, particularly in graduate education development, research excellence, scientific publication, and community engagement that can generate meaningful impacts on regional and national development.
The cooperation agreement will remain in effect for five years and will serve as the foundation for various collaborative programs between the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, and the Graduate School of Tadulako University. Through this partnership, both institutions are expected to continue contributing to innovation, human resource development, and the advancement of higher education in supporting sustainable agriculture and food security in Indonesia.
