The 2^nd International Conference on Innovative Agricultural Technology (ICIAT) is organized by The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, on August 30 – 31, 2023 in Bali, Indonesia. The conference is held in collaboration with the Indonesian Food Technology Professional Association, Indonesian Agricultural Industrial Technology Professional Association, and Indonesian Society of Agricultural Engineering.

The conference highlights significant research in agricultural technology especially digital transformation and technologies for sustainable agri-food systems. The current theme has been selected because the digital transformation in agricultural technology promises to increase farm efficiency; improve farmers’ access to output, input, and financial markets; strengthen quality control and traceability, and improve the design and delivery of agriculture policies. In addition, it identifies a vital role for the public sector in maximizing the benefits of this process while minimizing its risks.

However, the digital transformation in agricultural technology is still very new, costs are high, and the details of the long-term benefits are rarely available. That means securing its widespread adoption will require collaboration among researchers, food producers, stakeholders, and the government. Therefore, this conference serves as a platform for meetings, networking, and discussion on agricultural technology, especially in advancing digital transformation to support agri-food systems.
